_____________
On a wintry Christmas in 1976, newly arrived Hmong refugees who had resettled across the Chicagoland area and throughout Illinois gathered bravely in the Midwest cold to worship the God who had carried them through so much. In that sacred fellowship they had longed for, First Hmong Alliance Church was born.
For 50 years, God has shown His steadfast love and faithfulness to our church family—from one generation to the next. We give thanks for His provision, His guidance, and the beautiful testimony of many tribes from the mountains of Laos becoming one family in Christ here in Chicagoland.
This summer—on Saturday, August 15–we joyfully invite you to join us as we celebrate 50 years of God’s goodness, our shared heritage, and the legacy of faith that continues to shape our future.
Though many of our families have since moved to different cities and states, you will always be part of this story. We sincerely hope you will consider traveling back to celebrate with us.
The celebration will be held at College Church’s Commons Hall. Seating is limited, so we kindly ask that you RSVP at your earliest convenience as we do our best to accommodate everyone.
We look forward to celebrating together!
